Welcome to Transcendent

All bodies deserve to feel whole.

Our bodies are our homes, but sometimes they feel so distant. Whether from pain and discomfort, dysphoria, dissatisfaction, injury or trauma, we tend to let the tension build until we are holding every stress deep in our physical selves. Our muscles hurt, our joints ache, our backs and necks are stiff and we wonder how we’ll ever feel well again.

If this sounds familiar, you’re in the right place to start a journey toward health and reconnection to your body. Come and see. Book a session now, and experience relief as the tension melts away.

Wellness should be accessible, and therapeutic treatments should be effective. That is why I ensure our sessions are lengthy and in-depth enough to address your needs while providing a time of thorough relaxation and restoration. The costs reflect my desire to keep things accessible to all.

I will also continue to offer all services to my trans, non-binary/genderqueer community on a donation-only basis. If you identify as gender-nonconforming and find typical massage therapy cost-prohibitive, please book sessions with me and reach out to me directly via the contact page to communicate that in advance. I only ask that you donate as you are able, to ensure I can continue to provide these services to as many people as possible.

In case we haven’t met yet, here’s a bit about me, my background, and my passion for making whole-body wellness accessible to all.

Hi, I’m Cassie. I am a massage therapist, a transgender woman, and a mom.

I have experience providing a variety of massage work to people of all ages, genders, and body-types, and have worked with people carrying tension from a diverse range of professions and activities. I specialize in myofascial release, deep tissue and acupressure work to relieve pain and tension, improve muscle tone and restore mobility for head, neck, back, and shoulders; I also happily offer full-body Hot Stone, Swedish and Shiatsu services with a focus on relaxation and stress-relief.

I have always been drawn to and invested in the work of creating safe, inviting space and connection for the people around me. But my previous career path was not so focused on that intention. I spent 15 years working in digital media and marketing before finally making a change to pursue something I truly love — helping people feel whole.

As someone with a permanent vision disability and lived experience feeling completely at odds with my own body, I have a personal understanding of the challenge self-care and wellness can be for the gender-diverse community and those living with disability, dysphoria or dysmorphia. Public spa and massage spaces can be very, very gendered and intimidating, and the relaxation and healing these places offer often feels uncomfortable or off-limits for those of us who don’t feel at home within cultural norms.

What I aim for, what I care most about, is bringing your mind and body safely back into harmonious connection. What I offer are services to find areas of tension and pain, areas where your body feels limited or unwell, and to aid your relaxation and the restoration of mobility, function, comfort and calm.

I hope we can meet soon.

About our services and rates

  • I intentionally offer massage work that is scheduled in lengthy sessions (75-100 minutes) to provide enough time for your body to relax and for us to work together to address your specific needs using any and all methods and skills available to me. The rates I charge are intended to be as affordable and accessible as possible while also ensuring I can meet my costs and continue to do this work.

  • I continue to offer all services to my trans, non-binary/genderqueer community on a donation-only basis. If you identify as gender-nonconforming and find typical massage therapy rates cost-prohibitive, please book sessions with me regardless. I will provide the typical service rates and I only ask that you donate as you are able, to ensure I can continue to provide these services to as many people as possible.

  • Tips are always welcome, and treated as donations to help reduce costs for others who may not be currently able to easily afford such services.

  • Please keep in mind that massage does not heal injuries, and areas of long-term or chronic tension and pain will likely require both multiple sessions and your personal commitment to consistent hydration and stretching to see lasting improvement.

  • If you have any questions, please reach out via the form on the contact page.

Available Therapies

  • Tension, Pain & Stress Release

    ~90 Minutes
    $115

This is a whole-body massage session that combines the warming and relaxation of Swedish massage with elements of deep tissue, myofascial therapy, acupressure, trigger point work, Shiatsu and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation as needed to calm the nervous system, release tension and target specific areas of pain or joint mobility limitations.

  • Head, Neck, Back & Shoulders

    ~75 Minutes
    $100

This is a customized, focused session combining elements of myofascial (muscle fiber) release, deep tissue, acupressure and cooperative stretches to target and relieve areas of tension, stiffness, and muscle soreness in the upper and lower back, shoulders, upper chest, neck and head. For those who are on their feet all day or work at a desk, have repeated-stress injuries, experience chronic pain, or carry their tension in these areas, this massage offers direct and effective support.

  • Zen Shiatsu

    ~75 Minutes
    $100

Shiatsu is an incredibly relaxing and restorative form of full-body massage drawn from ancient Japanese healing methods with origins in Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is performed over the clothes, without oils or lotions. Due to its name — "shi" (finger) and "atsu" (pressure) — it's often described as a form of acupressure. But it incorporates far more than just acupressure. A Shiatsu massage will involve various techniques including gentle stretching, holding, pressing with palms, thumbs, fingers, elbows, and knees, and when appropriate, more dynamic rotations and stretches to restore or improve flexibility and joint mobility. It is great for headaches, sore backs and anxiety. If you are new to massage work or at all unsure about receiving the kinds of work that require removing some of your clothes, Shiatsu can be a safe, effective and relaxing first experience.

  • Hot Stone

    ~100 Minutes
    $160

I offer 100-minute hot stone massage sessions. Hot stone is a deeply relaxing experience that utilizes heated rocks (typically basalt or Himalayan salt stones) to warm specific muscles and joints prior to working in those areas. It is a slower-paced, meditative journey that is very enjoyable and can be highly effective for tension and pain relief. I expect to be booking hot stone sessions in December.

  • Full Body Swedish

    ~75 Minutes
    $100

  • Customized Deep Tissue

    ~75 Minutes
    $100
